Gentle is not Weak

For a long time, I thought being gentle meant I was too much of something
or not enough of something else.

Too patient.
Too understanding.
Too willing to wait.

I mistook my softness for a flaw.

But gentleness is not the absence of strength.
It is strength that has learned it does not need to harden to survive.

To be gentle is to stay present without forcing.
To love without demanding proof.
To hold space without disappearing inside it.

Gentle people learn early how to endure.
They learn how to stay calm while carrying weight.
How to keep their hearts open without turning cold.

This is not weakness.
This is resilience shaped quietly.

Some of us were gentle long before we knew it was allowed.
